Dust, Sound, Shadow

Set against a skeletal concrete frame perched above wild terrain, Dust, Sound, Shadow is an evening gathering exploring the thresholds between architecture, ritual, and terrain. This one-hour moment opens as the light begins to fade bringing into sharp contrast the rawness of structure and the softness of dusk. Attendees will enter the space through a ramped corridor, emerging into an elevated plateau, surrounded by silence, negative space, and the subtle echoes of activity below.

This event will feature a live ambient sound performance by guest artist FADIR, blending field recordings, grainy loops, and long reverb trails that move with the structure’s geometry. As sound fills the air, a communal table is set with bread, salt, and olive oil offering a symbolic gesture of presence, sustenance, and grounding.

There is no formal seating. No introductions. No applause. Just an hour of suspended quiet, held between sky and concrete, body and place.

Brutalissè hosts this event as part of its seasonal reflection series, honoring built forms not as backdrops, but as collaborators in atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to document nothing. Presence is the only record.
