Held before sunrise, Urban Stillness is an hour-long spatial experience exploring the poetics of pause. Set inside a bare concrete structure, the event invites attendees to engage with architecture in its rawest state untouched by the noise of function or daily life. This is not a lecture, nor a guided tour. It's an invitation to simply be within a constructed void, where the only elements at play are light, shadow, and volume. As morning breaks, the space begins to shift soft gradients on concrete, subtle movement through silence, and bodies becoming part of the formwork. The setting, previously a construction site, becomes a momentary exhibition in stillness. A single chair positioned in the room offers a quiet commentary on scale, context, and presence. Attendees will be asked to leave phones behind and enter barefoot to heighten their physical awareness. A printed takeaway will be given at the end a folded card with a single image and quote, meant to disappear into your notebook or wall. Brutalissè believes in the value of presence. This event sets the tone for a year of curated slowness, considered design, and architectural reverence.
